Marigold ID Release Notes
Detailed information about the latest release of Marigold ID.
July 2025 Release
App Attributes for Role Assignment Now Supported in Loyalty App
We’re expanding the reach of App Attributes in Marigold ID! Starting this July, the feature is now supported by the Loyalty App, enabling more streamlined and centralized role management for Loyalty users.
User Guide: Configure Application Role
What’s New?
With this release, admins can assign granular roles to Loyalty users directly from Marigold ID — just as they currently do for apps like Grow. This means no more manual role updates within the Loyalty App.
How It Works
App Attributes allow roles to be defined and pushed from Marigold ID to supported applications.
Admins can:
-
Define specific access levels (e.g., Admin, Manager, Viewer) for the Loyalty App.
-
Apply these roles individually or through User Groups, ensuring users get the correct permissions automatically upon assignment.
This creates a consistent, scalable, and error-resistant permission model across platforms.
Rollout & Availability
-
The feature is being rolled out in phases from July through August.
-
The upgrade is seamless and requires no action from end users.
-
App Attributes are now supported across Grow and Loyalty, with more apps to follow.
March 2025 Release
App Attributes for Role Assignment in Marigold ID
We introduced the App Attributes feature in Marigold ID this March to give admins more control and flexibility in managing user roles across integrated applications.
User Guide: Configure Application Role
What’s New?
Previously, when a new user was added to a Marigold ID–integrated platform (like Grow), they were automatically assigned the default role (e.g., Publisher in Grow). Admins then had to manually log into each application to update user permissions.
With the new App Attributes feature, admins can now assign granular roles directly from Marigold ID — eliminating the need to manage roles separately within each app.
How It Works
App Attributes let you define and push specific roles from Marigold ID to integrated applications.
Example: Role Assignment in Grow
-
Before:
-
New users received a default role like Publisher
-
Admins had to manually upgrade their roles in Grow.
-
-
Now with App Attributes:
-
Admins can assign roles like Admin or Publisher directly from Marigold ID, and permissions will sync automatically with the app.
-
Works Seamlessly with User Groups
App Attributes can be used together with User Groups to simplify user onboarding at scale.
-
Admins can define granular roles (App Attributes) at the User Group level.
-
When users are added to a User Group, they are automatically granted the correct app-level access — no need to assign roles individually.
This integration provides a powerful and scalable way to manage permissions across teams and applications with minimal manual effort.
Rollout & Availability
-
Currently supported in Grow only.
-
We rolled out the feature to all Marigold ID–Grow accounts throughout March and April.
June 2024 Release
User Group Management in Marigold ID
We’ve launched User Groups in Marigold ID to simplify and scale permission management across applications.
User Guide: Getting Started with User Groups
What’s New?
Admins can now assign pre-defined permissions to multiple users at once by adding them to a User Group instead of configuring access one user at a time.
How It Works
A User Group is tied to an Organization, its Business Units, and application access.
Example: Org Cooper & Madison using Engage+ and Grow
They can define the following User Groups to streamline access control:
-
Organization Administrator
-
Grant organization admin permissions in Marigold ID, which supports user management
-
Provides admin-level access to Engage+ and Grow
-
-
System User for Engage+ and Grow
-
Provides standard user access to Engage+ and Grow
-
-
Application admin for Engage+ and Grow
-
Provides admin-level access to Engage+ and Grow
-
Once created in Marigold ID, these User Groups can be mapped to access groups in Engage+ , Grow or other supported applications via the App Attributes feature ( released in March 2025), enabling seamless permission synchronization across platforms.
Setup Requirements
This feature must be enabled by your Marigold representative.
After activation, admins can begin creating and assigning User Groups within Marigold ID.
